Sworn enemies, Luke and Aodhan each have a deadly assignment from the Faerie Queen. Namely, kill Deirdre before her music captures the attention of the Fae and threatens the Queen's sovereignty. Caught in the crossfire with Deirdre is James, her wisecracking but loyal best friend. Deirdre had been wishing her life weren't so dull, but getting trapped in the middle of a centuries-old faerie war isn't exactly what she had in mind.

This was a short but still very deep read. I Like Lament! It was full of surprises. It kept me guessing till the last page!


Dee is a cloverhand. She can see fairies.  Even with her amazing musical talent and special ability, she is still just a teenage girl. She has a best friend named James, she gets stage fright, and she falls for guys. I loved Dee's character! She seemed so real. I mean she had an evil aunt, who thought she was better then Dee. I hated her aunt in the story. James was hilarious! I loved his character. I didn't really see him and Dee as a match though....Luke, however, was a perfect match for Dee. 


You'll love the twisting plot! It will leave you guessing till the end! The most important question you will ask, and be dyeing to find out is: Will Dee and Luke be able to stay together? 
Their is a whole other side to Luke, one that keeps him and Dee separated. You will be shocked by his past.


The plot was amazing, and the writing was good, but something was missing. I think it was just missing a wow factor for me. So in turn it will receive a rating of 4 flowers.
