Beautifully written and emotionally honest, this is a debut novel that explores what it truly means to love someone and what it means to grieve, and ultimately, how to make the most of every single moment this world has to offer.

First, let me just say don't let the title fool you. This is not a light, fluffy (yes, I said fluffy), flirty read. I was fooled. I picked this up thinking 'Okay, girl losses a guy then she has summer flings, then finds a guy and they fall in love.'  WRONG! This novel has much more depth than thought. This novel really took me on an emotional ride. 

This novel will have you laughing one moment, then crying your eyes out the next. A story about loss, friendship. and heartbreak.

The characters are real and, one of my favorite character traits, raw. Anna was a great main character. I instantly liked her. She was strong and a good friend. She was able to mourn the loss of Matt, her boyfriend, and be able to support her best friend. I was truly amazed with her. She was really mature for her age and I think that made me like her even more! Her best friend, Frankie, was a whole other story.  She had me confused all the way to the end. 

The writing of this novel was out of this world. I felt like I was right on the beach in sunny California with the girls! What more could you ask for a summer read? Sarah Ockler has an amazing talent. Her writing will leave you breathless.

The cover is beautiful! I love how they tied the sea glass from the story on to the cover. It really did capture my attention. 

Overall, this was emotionally crazy! A little slow in some parts for me, but still very likable.
