Tally is about to turn sixteen, and she can't wait. Not for her license--for turning pretty. In Tally's world, your sixteenth birthday brings an operation that turns you from a repellent Ugly into a stunningly attractive Pretty and catapults you into a high-tech paradise where your only job is to have a really great time. In just a few weeks Tally will be there. But Tally's new friend Shay isn't sure she wants to be pretty. She'd rather risk life on the outside. When Shay runs away, Tally learns about a whole new side of the pretty world--and it isn't very pretty. The authorities offer Tally the worst choice she can imagine: find her friend and turn her in, or never turn pretty at all. Does Tally take the offer, or does she throw it behind? The choice Tally makes changes her world forever.

A book that will leave you breathless!

I had already read Uglies and Pretties along time ago, but I had to re-read them so I could read the third and fourth book. The reason I fell in love with this book is because it's different. I wanted a change form the typical story line of a mortal falling in love with a 'monster' blah, blah, blah. Don;t get me wrong! I love these type of books, but after awhile you want a change.
Tally's character was adventures and risk taking. She didn't let the story get to boring. I love David! He was my favorite character. Being so hardworking, devoted, and thoughtful, he just stole my heart!

This book is also about excepting who you are. Believing that your beautiful the way you are.

I everyone looked the same would anyone truly be pretty? I found myself ask this question through the whole book. It just seemed weird that all the pretties seemed to glow with beauty.
It is a bigger book, but I thought it was worth reading. And now I'm going to start on the second!

Revealing Eden by Victoria Foyt

When I read Dystopian books, I either love them or hate them. Most of the time I just can not connect with the characters, and sometimes it's the setting. But with Revealing Eden I was completely captivated with the world Victoria created.

Steel by Carrie Vaughn

Time travel and pirates. These are two words that I love to hear! I have always love time travel, and pirates have always interested me. So finding this book was like finding a buried treasure! ( why yes, that was super cheesy, but I couldn't resist!) In fact a book I am writing now has to do with time travel. :D hehe!

The Queen of Kentucky by Alecia Witaker

The Queen of Kentucky is a book that I, as a Kentucky native myself, could relate to. Being able to relate to the characters and the surroundings really made me enjoy this book. The Queen of Kentucky is one of those books that has such a great message.

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

As soon as I got this book I tore into it! I could not wait to read it! And once I started Under the Never Sky it never let my hand. :) This is by far one of my favorite dystopian novels that I have read this year! Veronica really surprised me with her debut! Think of Under the Never Sky as awesome as Angelfire, and if you know me at all then you know that this novel blew my socks off! it!
