16-year-old Molly Dix loves her ordinary life in suburban Indiana, so when her single mother passes away, she is shocked to discover that her biological father is Brick Berlin, world famous movie star and red carpet regular.
Equally intrigued and terrified by her Hollywood lineage, Molly moves to Southern California and plunges head-first into the deep end of Beverly Hills celebrity life. Just as Molly thinks her new life and family couldn't get any stranger, she meets Brooke Berlin, her gorgeous and spoiled half-sister whom welcomes Molly to la-la land with a healthy dose of passive-aggressive "sisterly love."
Set against the backdrop of a sparkling and fashion-filled Los Angeles, this deliciously dysfunctional family soap opera will satisfy every reader looking for their next lifestyles-of-the-rich-and-famous beach read.

Let me first say I am a huge fan of
gofugyourself.com, so when I found out they were going to have a book coming out soon I jumped at the chance to review it! The authors are hilarious, I follow them on twitter! I expected drama, fashion, and humor from this novel. All of the things mentioned where present in this novel, but also a deeper story was unraveled.  This YA debut is defiantly one to add to your beach bag!

This story has been told before, fish-out-of water, thrown into the mix of an upscale Hollywood life. Still, with this being said I enjoyed this book. All the drama, the schemes, everything! What I was surprised about after I read this novel was how attached I got to some of the characters, and also how much I learned from the pages of SPOILED.

You are first introduced to Brooke. She has been living the life, or so it seems. You feel sorry for her then you hate her, then you love her. She is quite the character, I will tell you that. Molly is just the type of character I love to read about, good natured, and even a little venerable. I admired both characters throughout the novel, but my biggest let down was how they handled their relationship with their father. Brick, actor/movie director, is to be frankly honest an air-head. Both girls crave the attention of their father, and they NEVER said anything about this to him throughout the whole novel. This was a huge disappointment for me. I would have spilled my heart out to my father, but we do have a very strong bond.

The cruelty of some of the characters in this novel stunned me! How can someone be so heartless and cruel? You are just going to have to read and find out what and who is the untold evil. :D

The cover is cute a clever! All of the colors in the make-up is beautiful.

I took this book to the pool with me. While I was laying out I read this. I became so absorbed in the book that I laid out longer then I should have and got a nasty sunburn!

I really did enjoy this book. It does have more to it than just endless drama. It has a heart touching ending, and characters.

Revealing Eden by Victoria Foyt

When I read Dystopian books, I either love them or hate them. Most of the time I just can not connect with the characters, and sometimes it's the setting. But with Revealing Eden I was completely captivated with the world Victoria created.

Steel by Carrie Vaughn

Time travel and pirates. These are two words that I love to hear! I have always love time travel, and pirates have always interested me. So finding this book was like finding a buried treasure! ( why yes, that was super cheesy, but I couldn't resist!) In fact a book I am writing now has to do with time travel. :D hehe!

The Queen of Kentucky by Alecia Witaker

The Queen of Kentucky is a book that I, as a Kentucky native myself, could relate to. Being able to relate to the characters and the surroundings really made me enjoy this book. The Queen of Kentucky is one of those books that has such a great message.

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

As soon as I got this book I tore into it! I could not wait to read it! And once I started Under the Never Sky it never let my hand. :) This is by far one of my favorite dystopian novels that I have read this year! Veronica really surprised me with her debut! Think of Under the Never Sky as awesome as Angelfire, and if you know me at all then you know that this novel blew my socks off! it!
