What would happen if we kiss?
Kevin led me quickly around the side of the building, then stopped. I managed not to crash into him. I tried to look calm, cool, unperturbed. I told myself not to laugh, especially not a snorting kind of laugh. "Wha . . . what did . . ."
And then he kissed me.
If We Kiss is the story of Charlotte (Charlie to her friends), who finds herself falling for a boy who is off-limits. Her best friend is in love with him, and her mother and his father are dating. Still, Charlie can't help but wonder, what would happen if we kiss?

A quick and fun read that has just the right amount of romance!
This is the perfect freshman romance. It was cute and light. I really did enjoy reading this.

I could relate to the main character, Charlie. the relationship she had with her best friend, Tess, was like the relationship I have with my sister. Charlie has certain feelings towards Tess that finally come out in the end. I really didn't like Tess's character.  I thought she was snobby sometimes. She was always looking for the next guy she could date, or hook up with. Kevin was bothersome, as most boys are. He acts one way one minute, and the next he is acting completely different!

Their is more to this novel. Charlie makes some mistakes that in turn hurt a lot of people. Charlie also has to deal with her mother who is now looking for a romantic fix. And she finds it in the most unlikely person. I really felt bad for Charlie some through the book. She was really going through a lot.

I liked the ending! I thought it was really cute, and  wrapped up the book perfectly!

This was a really cute read. I was laughing a lot during this novel. Rachel did a great job with this!

  1. This sounds like a lovely book. It sounds like I'd be a little annoyed with this Kevin character as well. I've gone through a lot of boy drama, especially recently. :P I've also always loved the name Charlie for a girl, too.

  2. I agree with you I wouldn't like a charcter that is snobby (Tess). Yea it seems like Kevin is a typical teenage boy! Sounds like a good read :)

  3. Quick review, but informative! I'm always looking out for those quick, feel good novels, and this one seems to fit the bill perfectly!

I feel like I'm going to be sucked right back into my high school years when I read this. Ah, the memories. :p

Thanks for introducing me to this book!

Revealing Eden by Victoria Foyt

When I read Dystopian books, I either love them or hate them. Most of the time I just can not connect with the characters, and sometimes it's the setting. But with Revealing Eden I was completely captivated with the world Victoria created.

Steel by Carrie Vaughn

Time travel and pirates. These are two words that I love to hear! I have always love time travel, and pirates have always interested me. So finding this book was like finding a buried treasure! ( why yes, that was super cheesy, but I couldn't resist!) In fact a book I am writing now has to do with time travel. :D hehe!

The Queen of Kentucky by Alecia Witaker

The Queen of Kentucky is a book that I, as a Kentucky native myself, could relate to. Being able to relate to the characters and the surroundings really made me enjoy this book. The Queen of Kentucky is one of those books that has such a great message.

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

As soon as I got this book I tore into it! I could not wait to read it! And once I started Under the Never Sky it never let my hand. :) This is by far one of my favorite dystopian novels that I have read this year! Veronica really surprised me with her debut! Think of Under the Never Sky as awesome as Angelfire, and if you know me at all then you know that this novel blew my socks off! it!
