Before this all happened, the closest I'd ever come to getting physical with a guy was playing the board game Operation. Okay, so maybe that sounds pathetic, but it's not like there were any guys at my high school who I cared to share more than three words with, let alone my body.
Then I met Wes, a track star senior from across town. Maybe it was his soulful blue eyes, or maybe my hormones just started raging. Either way, I was hooked. And after a while, he was too. I couldn't believe how intense my feelings became, or the fact that I was seeing—and touching—parts of the body I'd only read about in my Gray's Anatomy textbook. You could say Wes and I experienced a lot of firsts together that spring. It was scary. It was fun. It was love.
And then came the fall.
My Review

The reviews for this book are split down the middle. People either hated it or loved it. This is what intrigued me to pick this interesting looking book up.

Let me settle this matter quickly: There is sex in this book. For one: look at the cover. Two: Read the SYNOPSIS! This is not the perfect read for everyone. If you don't think this is appropriate, or whatever reason, fine. As I said before this is not for everyone. I wouldn't tell my 8th grade cousin or sister to read it.  But I do believe that for high school students this could hold a valuable lesson.

With that matter aside this was a great book! I was laughing, cry, and blushing to myself. This book had my emotions all over the place. Dominique was an easy character to love. She was funny, light, and smart (Well, school wise. Not life wise.). Dom was a great character as was Wes.

I knew what was going to happen all along, but I was still really sad when it finally did happen. I can't tell you just what happened, because that would be a major spoiler!

I loved the plot! The only thing I had issues with was how had the characters fallen so deeply in love? Why was Dom so crazy for Wes? This was my only problem with the book. I just felt like it was to fast and fleeting.

I think the cover works perfectly with the book! It's like an Operation game board, but with only new pieces. Many are turned off by the cover. I know all of my friends are like 'Wow thats so stupid.' or 'Why is their a barbie doll?' If they actually read the book, they would see the way it ties in with the story.

I loved the ending! Daria leaves you hanging, but you can guess what's going to happen.

Overall this was a very interesting read. I learned things, I laughed, and now I feel more prepared for high school. And all with a book! YA saves. ;)

Revealing Eden by Victoria Foyt

When I read Dystopian books, I either love them or hate them. Most of the time I just can not connect with the characters, and sometimes it's the setting. But with Revealing Eden I was completely captivated with the world Victoria created.

Steel by Carrie Vaughn

Time travel and pirates. These are two words that I love to hear! I have always love time travel, and pirates have always interested me. So finding this book was like finding a buried treasure! ( why yes, that was super cheesy, but I couldn't resist!) In fact a book I am writing now has to do with time travel. :D hehe!

The Queen of Kentucky by Alecia Witaker

The Queen of Kentucky is a book that I, as a Kentucky native myself, could relate to. Being able to relate to the characters and the surroundings really made me enjoy this book. The Queen of Kentucky is one of those books that has such a great message.

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

As soon as I got this book I tore into it! I could not wait to read it! And once I started Under the Never Sky it never let my hand. :) This is by far one of my favorite dystopian novels that I have read this year! Veronica really surprised me with her debut! Think of Under the Never Sky as awesome as Angelfire, and if you know me at all then you know that this novel blew my socks off! it!
