When rejection comes back to bite you...
Jordan's life sucks. Her boyfriend, Michael, dumped her, slept his way through half the student body, and then killed himself. But now, somehow, he appears at her window every night, begging her to let him in.
Jordan can't understand why he wants her, but she feels her resistance wearing down. After all, her life — once a broken record of boring parties, meaningless hookups, and friends she couldn't relate to — now consists of her drinking alone in her room as she waits for the sun to go down.
Michael needs to be invited in before he can enter. All Jordan has to do is say the words....

This review will be one of the shorter ones :P

I was really looking forward to this book! I really felt like this was going to be another great vampire book. I was really disappointed with this one, I hate to say.
It wasn't bad, it just wasn't very good.

This short book took me forever to get through. One reason is not
hing really happens for about half of the book. It starts off really slow.I would pick it up read a page or two and get bored.

The characters where.....interesting. The main character, Jordan, drinks, does drugs, and just about every thing I haven't even though of doing! I could not relate to her at all. This was a real problem for me because I like to put myself in the characters shoes.

I also felt like this story was very had little creativity. The vampire in this book is the same as all those vampires that were in historical pieces. They can't go out during the day, can be drowned, ect. Which! This may not be a bad thing if you like books that don't have their vampires sparkle ;)

This wasn't bad. If you like the main characters that are struggling with life, then yea give it a try!

  1. GFC Krystal Larson I agree with you on the characters, when I first read this book I couldn't and stil can't (thankfully) relate to any of them at all-that kind of ruins the story for me...

  2. GASP. I swear, you and I have some sort of reading connection, but I thought the same about this book! This was my first dislike of a book, and really, I had no idea what was going on. All I know was that a guy was at her window. It's as if this book was written as a first draft, and yes, it really was slow at the beginning. The more I think about it ,the more I am disliking this book again. I'm sorry for this depressing comment, but I agree with your review. You're still doing an awesome job! (:

Revealing Eden by Victoria Foyt

When I read Dystopian books, I either love them or hate them. Most of the time I just can not connect with the characters, and sometimes it's the setting. But with Revealing Eden I was completely captivated with the world Victoria created.

Steel by Carrie Vaughn

Time travel and pirates. These are two words that I love to hear! I have always love time travel, and pirates have always interested me. So finding this book was like finding a buried treasure! ( why yes, that was super cheesy, but I couldn't resist!) In fact a book I am writing now has to do with time travel. :D hehe!

The Queen of Kentucky by Alecia Witaker

The Queen of Kentucky is a book that I, as a Kentucky native myself, could relate to. Being able to relate to the characters and the surroundings really made me enjoy this book. The Queen of Kentucky is one of those books that has such a great message.

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

As soon as I got this book I tore into it! I could not wait to read it! And once I started Under the Never Sky it never let my hand. :) This is by far one of my favorite dystopian novels that I have read this year! Veronica really surprised me with her debut! Think of Under the Never Sky as awesome as Angelfire, and if you know me at all then you know that this novel blew my socks off! it!
