Blogger Interview: Alexa (Giveaway)

Today I have the super nice, and amazing blogger Alexa (Pages of Forbidden Love) here. She will be answering some quick questions about blogging, summer reading, and about herself. I hope you all enjoy! Alexa is one of the nicest people I have meet in the bloggesphere so far. She is always looking out to help other bloggers. Okay enough rambling!

Would you like to introduce yourself, and your blog?

My name is Alexa and I run Pages of Forbidden Love. I mostly review YA and Adult romance.

GO! Follow her. You won't regret it. :)

What is the best and worst part of blogging?
I would say the best part is the community, I have been able to follow a lot of great blogs and meet some great bloggers.
The worst part is probably when the drama is going on in the blogging world that makes it seem like what bloggers do is insignificant.

I agree with you, sometimes their is a little to much drama going on out there.

What is your all time favorite romance book (or author)?
I would say for YA by favorite would have to be The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen.  I basically love all of her books.

I still have yet to read ANY Sarah Dessen books. Don't worry because I just bought Someone like You and The Truth About Forever!

What is your favorite summer romance cover?
Oh goodness there are so many great covers out there. I would have to say I really do love the cover of Rival by Sara Bennet Wealer. The main focus of the book isn't on romance but the cover just screams summer to me.

Do you have time to blog and read during the summer, if not how do you keep up with your blog?
I would say I get most of my reading done during the summer time. It is during the school year that I am busy with work, school, and my family life. Summer is my time to enjoy all of those books I bought during the colder months, not that it ever gets that cold in Arizona.

Where is you favorite place to read during the summer months?
I really like to sit out on the patio and read that way I can get some fresh air while staying in the shade where it is a little cooler.

Random Questions:

How many books do you have on your bookshelf?
500+

WOW! I wish I had that many!

Where do you purchase your books?
Where do I not purchase my books might be an easier question. I like to get them from Borders, Barnes and Noble, Half Price Books, and the Changing Hands Bookstore.

What do you think of e-readers?
I own an ereader but I still like the paper format better. I just love the satisfaction of closing the book and putting it on my read pile.

Same here! That is why I am so hesitant to buy an e-reader

Describe yourself in three words.
Sarcastic, Smart, and Caring

  1. I love blogger interviews. Thanks for this! I definitely agree, I like physical books better than e-books. It's just different when you're able to turn the pages and smell the book. I don't think I'll ever buy an e-reader, but who knows.

  3. Great interview! I feel the same way about e-readers as both of you do! I just got a nook for graduation, and I'm still iffy on if I like it or not! Mandi, I have to admit the same thing, I also have yet to read a Sarah Dessen book. I own Just Listen and it is on my TBR pile, so hopefully I'll remedy that soon!

Recent Reviews

Revealing Eden by Victoria Foyt

When I read Dystopian books, I either love them or hate them. Most of the time I just can not connect with the characters, and sometimes it's the setting. But with Revealing Eden I was completely captivated with the world Victoria created.

Steel by Carrie Vaughn

Time travel and pirates. These are two words that I love to hear! I have always love time travel, and pirates have always interested me. So finding this book was like finding a buried treasure! ( why yes, that was super cheesy, but I couldn't resist!) In fact a book I am writing now has to do with time travel. :D hehe!

The Queen of Kentucky by Alecia Witaker

The Queen of Kentucky is a book that I, as a Kentucky native myself, could relate to. Being able to relate to the characters and the surroundings really made me enjoy this book. The Queen of Kentucky is one of those books that has such a great message.

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

As soon as I got this book I tore into it! I could not wait to read it! And once I started Under the Never Sky it never let my hand. :) This is by far one of my favorite dystopian novels that I have read this year! Veronica really surprised me with her debut! Think of Under the Never Sky as awesome as Angelfire, and if you know me at all then you know that this novel blew my socks off! it!
