Kate Sanderson has been burned by love. From now on, she thinks, I will control my own destiny, and I will be reasoned and rational. But life has other things in store for Kate. Namely, a summer abroad studying Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet in the very town where the star-crossed lovers met, Verona, Italy. Kate is thrown together with two other American teens and three Italians for a special seminar—and for volunteer duty at the Juliet Club, where they answer letters from the lovelorn around the world. Can Kate's cool logic withstand the most romantic summer ever? Especially when faced with the ever-so-charming Giacomo and his entrancing eyes . . . ?

A summer in Verona, Italy! Si, Si! This was a fun, cute, read that will remind you of our dear friend Juliet, and how she conquered love!

Kate is reasonable thats what everyone tells her. She likes things the way the are, and she most certainly doesn't believe in love. After Jerome breaks her, she refuses to ever fall in love. But who can resist a blooming summer romance in Italy?

Kate was a fantastic main character. I loved her strong attitude, and serious self. Even is she is a serious person, she was able to joke and play around. Her two friends Sarah and Annie remind me of my friends! They joke around about boys, and place bets. They had me laughing a few times in this novel. Giacomo.... ohh how I do love an accent! He sounded so charming, but sometimes a little stuck up..Benno was by far the funniest character!  His witty remarks had me rolling on the floor. I wasn't a big fan of Silvia... for certain reasons that I won't spoil for you.

Can I just say that I really want to go to Italy now?! Suzanne made it sound so beautiful there, and relaxing! Don't forget all the food! I am drooling just thinking about it!

It's written in 3rd person so you get everyones point of view. Which I love, because I want to know what the other characters are thinking!

I thought the plot was going to be completely predictable, but it wasn't! It kept me on my toes.

This book also  provides a little 'how to' in the flirting department! HAH! Lets just say if every guy read this and flirted like Giacomo I would fall in love over and over again!

I really like this cover! It's super cute.

Suzanne did a great with this! I was pleasantly surprised!

  1. I'm so glad to see a review on this! I've been debating getting it for a while, because I love Shakespeare and Romeo and Juliet is my favorite. Therefore, I pretty much love anything Shakespeare related. I was skeptical about this book, because I hadn't heard many great things about it, but after reading such a positive review, I'm definitely going to have to get it. Thanks so much! :)

Revealing Eden by Victoria Foyt

When I read Dystopian books, I either love them or hate them. Most of the time I just can not connect with the characters, and sometimes it's the setting. But with Revealing Eden I was completely captivated with the world Victoria created.

Steel by Carrie Vaughn

Time travel and pirates. These are two words that I love to hear! I have always love time travel, and pirates have always interested me. So finding this book was like finding a buried treasure! ( why yes, that was super cheesy, but I couldn't resist!) In fact a book I am writing now has to do with time travel. :D hehe!

The Queen of Kentucky by Alecia Witaker

The Queen of Kentucky is a book that I, as a Kentucky native myself, could relate to. Being able to relate to the characters and the surroundings really made me enjoy this book. The Queen of Kentucky is one of those books that has such a great message.

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

As soon as I got this book I tore into it! I could not wait to read it! And once I started Under the Never Sky it never let my hand. :) This is by far one of my favorite dystopian novels that I have read this year! Veronica really surprised me with her debut! Think of Under the Never Sky as awesome as Angelfire, and if you know me at all then you know that this novel blew my socks off! it!
