Some summers are just destined to be pretty. Belly measures her life in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer -- they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But one summer, one wonderful and terrible summer, the more everything changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all along.

I bought this book last summer for my trip to California. I wanted a cute little romance to read on the way down there. I wanted a book that made me long to feel the sand underneath my feet. "The Summer I Turned Pretty" did just that! Jenny Han made me so gleefully happy! I would have loved to spend a summer on  Cousins Beach, along with Jeremiah and Conrad. Han showed me what a true summer romance is.

This book was brilliantly written. It pulls you in ,and you can't resist it! They are some flash back in the novel, which I loved! They show how the boys start to change about Belly.

Belly was an amazing main character. You could relate to her. You could feel the pain she was going through, and how hard it was for her to chose who she wanted. The two bothers, Conrad and Jeremiah, will make you fall head over heels! They are undeniable some of the best male characters. Jeremiah is the sweet, cute, and funny one that has always been their for Belly. But Conrad is the one Belly has always loved. Conrad was sometimes a jerk, but he has a pretty good reason to be... OH! how can I forget about Cam. I really liked him, I pictured him as some cute dork! Through out the whole novel I keep switching guys. I would go from Conrad, to Cam, to Jeremhia, then back to Cam! It was so frustrating! I now know what Belly was going through. They were are great guys!

Jenny Han has captured my heart with this novel! Along with the romance ( which I love) this novel also has some self discoveries in it. This was the perfect summer read! It will make you want to go swimming, then spend a night on a pier! I loved it!

Revealing Eden by Victoria Foyt

When I read Dystopian books, I either love them or hate them. Most of the time I just can not connect with the characters, and sometimes it's the setting. But with Revealing Eden I was completely captivated with the world Victoria created.

Steel by Carrie Vaughn

Time travel and pirates. These are two words that I love to hear! I have always love time travel, and pirates have always interested me. So finding this book was like finding a buried treasure! ( why yes, that was super cheesy, but I couldn't resist!) In fact a book I am writing now has to do with time travel. :D hehe!

The Queen of Kentucky by Alecia Witaker

The Queen of Kentucky is a book that I, as a Kentucky native myself, could relate to. Being able to relate to the characters and the surroundings really made me enjoy this book. The Queen of Kentucky is one of those books that has such a great message.

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

As soon as I got this book I tore into it! I could not wait to read it! And once I started Under the Never Sky it never let my hand. :) This is by far one of my favorite dystopian novels that I have read this year! Veronica really surprised me with her debut! Think of Under the Never Sky as awesome as Angelfire, and if you know me at all then you know that this novel blew my socks off! it!
