Some Angels are Destined to Fall
There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.
Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.
Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . .
even if it kills her.
I have mixed feelings for this book. About halfway through it, I wanted to quite reading it. It was just making me so frustrated! I kept thinking how ungrateful and self-centered  Luce was. She didn't deserve Cam at all! He was always there for her and he WANTED to be with her, unlike Daniel. But no! Luce wasn't happy with Cam, all she wanted was Deniel.I soon realized that Luce would do anything, and sacrifice anyone to get him. This was the only reason I loathed the book. I continued to read and towards the end it started to change my mind.

From the beginning I did not like Luce at all. She just bothered me, and I have no idea why! Then Cam comes along and I just fall in love with him. He seemed so sweet! I didn't like Daniel in the beginning either. I thought he was rude and a pain in the butt.

If you can just get past the annoying characters, the plot is fairly well written. Towards the end it became a very good book. I was glad I finished it!

  2. Thank you for posting this review. I've heard mostly all the same things about it. Most people claimed that they couldn't or at least they didn't want to finish reading it. I'm hesitant, now, but since I won an ARC of the 3rd book I may pick the first two up if I have some extra cash laying around. Still not that likely, so I may just give it to someone that likes the series.

Revealing Eden by Victoria Foyt

When I read Dystopian books, I either love them or hate them. Most of the time I just can not connect with the characters, and sometimes it's the setting. But with Revealing Eden I was completely captivated with the world Victoria created.

Steel by Carrie Vaughn

Time travel and pirates. These are two words that I love to hear! I have always love time travel, and pirates have always interested me. So finding this book was like finding a buried treasure! ( why yes, that was super cheesy, but I couldn't resist!) In fact a book I am writing now has to do with time travel. :D hehe!

The Queen of Kentucky by Alecia Witaker

The Queen of Kentucky is a book that I, as a Kentucky native myself, could relate to. Being able to relate to the characters and the surroundings really made me enjoy this book. The Queen of Kentucky is one of those books that has such a great message.

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

As soon as I got this book I tore into it! I could not wait to read it! And once I started Under the Never Sky it never let my hand. :) This is by far one of my favorite dystopian novels that I have read this year! Veronica really surprised me with her debut! Think of Under the Never Sky as awesome as Angelfire, and if you know me at all then you know that this novel blew my socks off! it!
