I have mixed feelings for this book. About halfway through it, I wanted to quite reading it. It was just making me so frustrated! I kept thinking how ungrateful and self-centered Luce was. She didn't deserve Cam at all! He was always there for her and he WANTED to be with her, unlike Daniel. But no! Luce wasn't happy with Cam, all she wanted was Deniel.I soon realized that Luce would do anything, and sacrifice anyone to get him. This was the only reason I loathed the book. I continued to read and towards the end it started to change my mind.
Some Angels are Destined to FallThere’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . .
even if it kills her.
From the beginning I did not like Luce at all. She just bothered me, and I have no idea why! Then Cam comes along and I just fall in love with him. He seemed so sweet! I didn't like Daniel in the beginning either. I thought he was rude and a pain in the butt.
If you can just get past the annoying characters, the plot is fairly well written. Towards the end it became a very good book. I was glad I finished it!
My Rating:
I've been looking for this one but my bookstore doesn't have it.
ReplyDeleteI love the cover
Thank you for posting this review. I've heard mostly all the same things about it. Most people claimed that they couldn't or at least they didn't want to finish reading it. I'm hesitant, now, but since I won an ARC of the 3rd book I may pick the first two up if I have some extra cash laying around. Still not that likely, so I may just give it to someone that likes the series.
