High school senior Tyler Miller used to be the kind of guy who faded into the background. But since he got busted for doing graffiti on the school, and spent the summer working outdoors to pay for it, he stands out like you wouldn’t believe. His new physique attracts the attention of queen bee Bethany Milbury, who just so happens to be his father’s boss’s daughter, the sister of his biggest enemy----and Tyler’s secret crush. Soon his life is a roller costar, with fantastic highs, devastating lows, and no seat belt to protect him. He has no choice. He’ll have to ride it out…
A few spray paint cans, and a couple thousand dollars worth of destroyed property can either make you or break you. But what will happen to hole in the wall, Nerd Boy Tyler Miller? I fell in love with this book! This is one of the few selective novels that I love that are written from a males point of view. Seeing what Tyler has to go through, just makes you realize that 'boys don't have it as easy as we thought.'
Tyler Miller is a normal boy, likes video games, girls, and more recently he has had his eyes set on Bethany. Bethany is our queen of the school in 'Twisted'. She's rich and a cheerleader. When Bethany gets hurt Tyler is forced to take her a cake. Will they bond over this? And will Bethany finally see that Tyler has changed. Nerd Boy bye bye, hello Tan Muscled Mister Secretive!
You'll fall in love with Ty! He shows us just how difficult it is to be a boy. I read this and loved it. I even recommended it to some of the guys in my class. All of them read it! Even one of my good guy friends, who hates reading. He said he loved it!

Laurie Halse Anderson has to be one of my favorite authors. Her writing just 'speak's right to me
