Meghan Chase has a secret destiny—one she could never have imagined…Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school…or at home.
When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change.
But she could never have guessed the truth—that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face…and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.
AHH! That's all I can say. I loved this book. It kept you flipping pages quickly, from the start to the end! This novel was amazing, and I think I have found a new author to stalk! Haha. Just kidding!
I loved the characters in this book. Each character seemed to play an importance in the unraveling of the novel. The love triangle between Megan, Puck, and Ash is too much for me! Through the whole book I was screaming 'who are you going to chose?".
The plot was so different and fast paced compared to the other Fey books I have read. The plot had unfolded into something so beautifully scary and terrifyingly interesting I could not believe it when I finished the book.
Waiting to read the second book!
Julie Kagawa lives in Louisville, Kentucky. And guess what! I live 20 minutes from Louisville! So if I ever see her out in public.... lets just say I'm always going to carry a black sharpie.

I LOVE THIS SERIES. If only I found your blog sooner, then I would've seen this! And YOU ARE SO LUCKY TO LIVE NEAR JULIE KAGAWA. You could just pop by and say hi anytime. Not really, but it would be nice...anyways, I love Puck. His jokes were what made me chuckle out loud, and I got weird looks from my family members when I did. This book is one of my favorites, and I'm glad you read it also! (:
