Aria is a teenager in the enclosed city of Reverie. Like all Dwellers, she spends her time with friends in virtual environments, called Realms, accessed through an eyepiece called a Smarteye. Aria enjoys the Realms and the easy life in Reverie. When she is forced out of the pod for a crime she did not commit, she believes her death is imminent. The outside world is known as The Death Shop, with danger in every direction.

As an Outsider, Perry has always known hunger, vicious predators, and violent energy storms from the swirling electrified atmosphere called the Aether. A bit of an outcast even among his hunting tribe, Perry withstands these daily tests with his exceptional abilities, as he is gifted with powerful senses that enable him to scent danger, food and even human emotions.

They come together reluctantly, for Aria must depend on Perry, whom she considers a barbarian, to help her get back to Reverie, while Perry needs Aria to help unravel the mystery of his beloved nephew’s abduction by the Dwellers. Together they embark on a journey challenged as much by their prejudices as by encounters with cannibals and wolves. But to their surprise, Aria and Perry forge an unlikely love - one that will forever change the fate of all who live UNDER THE NEVER SKY

My Review
As soon as I got this book I tore into it! I could not wait to read it! And once I started Under the Never Sky it never let my hand. :) This is by far one of my favorite dystopian novels that I have read this year! Veronica really surprised me with her debut! Think of Under the Never Sky as awesome as Angelfire, and if you know me at all then you know that this novel blew my socks off!

Sometimes I find it hard to get into dystopian novels, I'm not really sure why. It could be that sometimes they seem to out THERE to be real or that I can't relate to the characters. I don't know. But I have only found a few dystopian novels that I really enjoyed, Scott Westerfeld's Uglies series for example. And now that I have read Under the Never Sky I can add it to the list! :)

The characters are just beyond words. I really loved Aria. For one she has a pretty cool name! And her attitude! I loved her attitude. She was willing to do almost anything to see her mother. The you have the supper amazing male character, Perry! Heheh reminds me of Perry the Platypus :) I adored Perry! He's the stubborn hero, but also has a really sweet, soft, caring side. Aww! ^-^ fangirl moment! But I really did like the characters. They were well developed and seemed to each have their own voice.

The plot of this story will keep you on your toes! You can try to guess whats going to happen next, but nine times out of ten you will guess wrong. I was very surprised with the outcome of the story. Everything seemed to come together to answer all of the readers questions.

I will warn you now! There is a bit of a cliffhanger. You can guess whats going to happen, but it isn't written down... sooo. I just hope the Veronica is busy working on the second book in this series! Because I want some more PERRY! :D

Why should you read this book? Well here are a few reasons: the cover is beautiful, the writing will captivate you, the characters will make you fall in love with them, the story line will keep you on your toes, and MUCH more! I really don't feel like my review did this book justice, but I tried. :P

Revealing Eden by Victoria Foyt

When I read Dystopian books, I either love them or hate them. Most of the time I just can not connect with the characters, and sometimes it's the setting. But with Revealing Eden I was completely captivated with the world Victoria created.

Steel by Carrie Vaughn

Time travel and pirates. These are two words that I love to hear! I have always love time travel, and pirates have always interested me. So finding this book was like finding a buried treasure! ( why yes, that was super cheesy, but I couldn't resist!) In fact a book I am writing now has to do with time travel. :D hehe!

The Queen of Kentucky by Alecia Witaker

The Queen of Kentucky is a book that I, as a Kentucky native myself, could relate to. Being able to relate to the characters and the surroundings really made me enjoy this book. The Queen of Kentucky is one of those books that has such a great message.
