My Review
After I received this ARC I was reading some reviews on Goodreads. There was a mix of good reviews and bad, so I wasn’t so sure how I would respond to this. I was a little hesitant to pick this up for many reasons: all of the reviews, the size of the book, and having been in a reading slump. Eventually, the dazzling cover, and the interesting synopsis pulled me into reading The Mesphisto Covenant, and it was some story.

Starting out I was intrigued. Sasha seemed like a character I would like. The book starts out with Sasha’s harsh reality. I hate giving things away, but since this happened within the first few chapters I saw its okay to share.  Sasha goes to this underground meeting and gets stoned. Yes! STONED! No not that stoned, stoned like people throw rocks at you….So yes it was a very interesting. Then everything freezes. And in walks Jax. That’s all I’m going to give away, but there is so much to this story!

The characters are another story. No really, each character has a story of their own. This is good and bad. There are so many characters I was getting confused. For a while I was flipping back wondering who this character was. I had to do this a lot with all the brothers. Other then that I thought the characters were well developed. Sasha is a character you can get attached to. You feel sorry for her for a while. The poor girl! And Jax was well .. infuriating.

This book is for older teens. There is sexual content. SO just be warned. Some new concepts were introduced. I don’t want to give it away. Some of these concepts were quite interesting, and others were wired.  But still it was something different. This book really stands out in the paranormal romance genre!

Trinity is an amazing author! Overall I really did enjoy the book. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in the series.

  1. I'm so happy to finally come across a positive review. I'd been reading nothing but "meh" reviews and I was starting to worry. This one is next on my list :D thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Revealing Eden by Victoria Foyt

When I read Dystopian books, I either love them or hate them. Most of the time I just can not connect with the characters, and sometimes it's the setting. But with Revealing Eden I was completely captivated with the world Victoria created.

Steel by Carrie Vaughn

Time travel and pirates. These are two words that I love to hear! I have always love time travel, and pirates have always interested me. So finding this book was like finding a buried treasure! ( why yes, that was super cheesy, but I couldn't resist!) In fact a book I am writing now has to do with time travel. :D hehe!

The Queen of Kentucky by Alecia Witaker

The Queen of Kentucky is a book that I, as a Kentucky native myself, could relate to. Being able to relate to the characters and the surroundings really made me enjoy this book. The Queen of Kentucky is one of those books that has such a great message.

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

As soon as I got this book I tore into it! I could not wait to read it! And once I started Under the Never Sky it never let my hand. :) This is by far one of my favorite dystopian novels that I have read this year! Veronica really surprised me with her debut! Think of Under the Never Sky as awesome as Angelfire, and if you know me at all then you know that this novel blew my socks off! it!
