Will Elise’s love life be an epic win or an epic fail?
At Coral Tree Prep in Los Angeles, who your parents are can make or break you. Case in point:
As the son of Hollywood royalty, Derek Edwards is pretty much prince of the school—not that he deigns to acknowledge many of his loyal subjects.
As the daughter of the new principal, Elise Benton isn’t exactly on everyone’s must-sit-next-to-at-lunch list.
When Elise’s beautiful sister catches the eye of the prince’s best friend, Elise gets to spend a lot of time with Derek, making her the envy of every girl on campus. Except she refuses to fall for any of his rare smiles and instead warms up to his enemy, the surprisingly charming social outcast Webster Grant. But in this hilarious tale of fitting in and flirting, not all snubs are undeserved, not all celebrity brats are bratty, and pride and prejudice can get in the way of true love for only so long.
.

This was such a cute and quick read! This novel is compared  to Pride and Prejudice, which I have never read. I know shocking right?! With that in mind I had no idea what to expect, but I was not disappointed!

The characters are what made this novel. The main character Elise is a very likable and relatable character. After the first few pages I instantly liked her. She is a lot like me in many ways. She watched out for her sister, she is a daddy's girl, and she loves Sudoku. Derek acts like a jerk sometimes, but he has his reasons. As the novel goes on some characters change for the worst and for the better.

Another part of this novel that I truly loved was the relationships the characters developed. The relationships aren't: BAM! I see you, I love you! They are built up slowly, and the characters actually get to know each other! I really love reading about sweet romances.

Claire has some talent as a writer. She normally write adult books, so for her first YA novel I say she did pretty good! Her writing keeps the story moving. I can not wait to read more YA from her.

I loved the ending! It was so cute. If you read this you will understand what I am about to say...erhh sing. "Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky like shooting stars, I could really use a wish right now!" :D

Overall this was a quick and cute read! You get attached to the characters. Also you will be laughing at some of the witty humor in this book!

Revealing Eden by Victoria Foyt

When I read Dystopian books, I either love them or hate them. Most of the time I just can not connect with the characters, and sometimes it's the setting. But with Revealing Eden I was completely captivated with the world Victoria created.

Steel by Carrie Vaughn

Time travel and pirates. These are two words that I love to hear! I have always love time travel, and pirates have always interested me. So finding this book was like finding a buried treasure! ( why yes, that was super cheesy, but I couldn't resist!) In fact a book I am writing now has to do with time travel. :D hehe!

The Queen of Kentucky by Alecia Witaker

The Queen of Kentucky is a book that I, as a Kentucky native myself, could relate to. Being able to relate to the characters and the surroundings really made me enjoy this book. The Queen of Kentucky is one of those books that has such a great message.

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

As soon as I got this book I tore into it! I could not wait to read it! And once I started Under the Never Sky it never let my hand. :) This is by far one of my favorite dystopian novels that I have read this year! Veronica really surprised me with her debut! Think of Under the Never Sky as awesome as Angelfire, and if you know me at all then you know that this novel blew my socks off! it!
